December Adventures!!!!

I am finally posting about all our fun activities we did during the Christmas holidays. We went to go see Santa this year at Cabellas and Cade was so excited to tell Santa what he wanted(Gordon the train), Jake on the other hand didn't like Santa so Drew had to get in the picture with him. For Christmas Eve we had several families over to our house and enjoyed a wonderful dinner and then did the Christmas play. Cade was a wiseman and Jake was the donkey. After the play each family decorated a gingerbread house. After everyone left the boys got to open a present, which was disney car pj's with car sleepers. Overall we had a great Christmas.

After a wonderful Christmas, the kids and I headed over to my parents cabin in WY. Drew had to stay and work (we sure missed him). My parents, Jordyn, Devon and her two kids, and Brad and Katie were all there. We all had such a good time together. We went snowmobiling, sledding, played in the snow and just hung out.

We left the cabin on New Years Day and all drove over to Twin Falls to go see my Grandma Kuykendall.

After Twin Falls, Devon and her two kids came to my house. We had such a good time. The kids had so much fun with eachother.

We had a wonderful halloween this year. We went up to Portland to go see one of Drew's sisters. The boys had so much fun playing and trick or treating with her kids. My two little monsters were sulley and mike from monsters inc.

I am finally updating my blog. These pictures are back from September 8th when Cade started preschool. He loves going. Jake and I sure miss him when he is there, but we enjoy having that time alone together.

Cade just finished up playing soccer at the YMCA. He just had the class three times and it was just to teach the kids the rules and how to play the game. He had so much fun running around and scoring goals.

Pumpkinliner

A couple of weeks ago Drew, the boys and I went on a train ride to a pumpkin patch. We had so much together. We got on the train and rode it for about an hour and then got off at a pumpkin patch. We each got to pick out our own pumpkins. On our train ride back we had a good time eating popcorn, hotdogs and lots and lots of candy.

Cade's 4th Birthday!!!!

We had such a wonderful day celebrating Cade's 4th birthday. We started off the morning with Cade's request for chocolate pancakes for breakfast (I know very nutritious). Then Cade, Jake and I headed off to a jumping balloon place called monkey bizness. The boys and I had so much fun going on the slides, jumping around and going through the obstacle course. Later on that evening we had his birthday party. Cade invited 4 friends over and they had a blast. I set up a jumping balloon in the back yard along with this tent/tunnel play thing. We had pizza, a dinosar cake, played pin the tail on the donkey and had a pinata. Happy Birthday Cade, we are so grateful that you are a part of our family. You bring so much joy into our lives, we love you.

My little Jake turned 2 today! I can't believe how time flies. He is now my little parrot and repeats anything anyone says. He is such a sweet, fun, loving little boy and I am so grateful to have him as my son. Here are some pictures of him from this last year. We love you Jake!

For Jake's birthday today we just hung out as a family. We went to a place called Rafiki. It is this big place with tons of toys, a big climbing thing with a slide and much more. Jake had a blast. We then went and ate pizza and then came home and opened presents. He had a ton of fun with that. Then we ate his fire truck birthday cake and played in the sprinklers outside. We had a such a wonderful day. Happy Birthday Jake, we LOVE you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Denver!

After San Diego, Drew, me and the kids went to Denver to go see Drew's parents and for Cade to have surgery. We ended up being there longer then expected. The night before Cade's surgery he got sick and we had to postpone it. So while waiting we had a lot of fun. We played outside, went to the park, petting zoo, took a train ride, went swimming and hung out with family.

The hospital where Cade had his surgery was great. Once Cade was feeling better they had wagons that the kids could ride around in. The had a play rooms with lots of toys, things built out of legos to look at, fish tanks and a ball maze thing that Cade loved.

San Diego!

Back in June the Kuykendall side of the family went to San Diego all together. We had such a good time. There was a total of 23 of us. We stayed at a place right on the beach. The cousins all had so much fun playing with eachother. We swam on the beach, went to legoland, sea world and just had fun hanging out all together.

Here are some pictures of my Cade. He is such a wonderful son and I love him so much. He is so full of energy and is constantly on the go. He wears me out about everyday. He loves playing just about anything. Cade is such a good helper and has been such a joy to have in our family. I love you Cade!

This picture is of Cade at a place called Wahooz. Him and Drew went there together one night and rode go-carts and played some games. This was a new game there and Cade played it and won 1000 tickets. He was so excited.

I was looking through some pictures and decided that I would post about my little Jake today, and then Cade another day. I am so grateful for this little guy in my life. He brings me such joy and I love him so much. He has such a sweet personality (at least most of the time, pictures at the end of the post say otherwise). He enjoys playing outside, climbing on things, reading books, eating, eating and more eating. This little guy will pretty much eat anything and everything. Jake is also my good sleeper. He takes a nap everyday and I can count on it to be at least 3 hours, usually more. I went in one afternoon as it was five 'o clock and he still hadn't woken up and this is how I found him.

These last three pictures are of Jake in time out. I can't remember why I sent him there, but he sure didn't like it.

Easter Bunny!

This morning the boys and I went to see the Easter Bunny at the mall. Cade was really excited and so was Jake when he first sat down by the Easter Bunny. After this shot, it was all tears and Jake wanted nothing to do with the Easter Bunny.

Swim Lessons

Cade started swim lesson for the very first time today. I really wondered if I should put him in because he hates getting his head/eyes wet. I thought he was going to have a hard time and not want to do anything that his teacher asked him to do. Boy was I wrong, he did great! He had a ton of fun. I am so proud of him and love him so much.

Warhawk Air Museum

This last Saturday we had a fun family day and went to the Warhawk Air Museum. The boys had a blast looking at all the airplanes and old cars. Its always great to spend time together as a family.

Spring Break in Wyoming!

We spent spring break in Wyoming at my parents cabin. We had a fun time, except for the fact that my poor parents and Jordyn were sick most of the time we were there. I was actually surprised when we got there how much snow was still on the ground. The boys had fun playing in and eating the snow. My sister, Tia and her daughter Kirstyn came up there too. Cade just had a blast playing with Kirstyn. They played resturant, aquarium, school, and everything else you can think of. One day we got the snowmobile out, but the snow was just to slushy to ride. So instead we got the four-wheelers out and had a lot of fun, though it was really cold. One night we even played musical chairs and duck, duck, goose (no pictures as I was playing and forgot to pull out the camera). Cade had never played musical chairs and had a blast when he was still in the game and if he won, but when he got out, boy did he get upset. Overall we had a wonderful time and enjoyed spending time with family.

One day Tia and I took the kids to burger king and they played on the playground. Cade is very afraid of going on these. Kirstyn was so nice and helped him a couple of times and then Cade realized that it wasn't scary and that it was fun and did it by himself. Jake on the other hand has no fear, but is still to small to get up it. Kirstyn helped him get up it several times. Thanks Kirstyn!

Trip to Grandma and Papa Kuykendall's!

Pictures, pictures and more pictures! Several weeks ago the boys and I flew down to Albuquerque, NM for a day and got to see Brittany, Sam and their kids. Brittany just had a brand new baby boy named Scott. He is so cute and we had a good time visiting with them. Then my mom, me and the boys drove down to El Paso and surprised my dad and sister, Jordyn.

We had a blast in El Paso hanging out with my family. Here are some of the pictures of all the fun we had. Cade playing rock band.

Going out to dinner. Jake through a nice big temper tantrum while we were there. It gave my parents a good laugh, me not so much.

One day my mom and I went to take the boys to the science museum. We park, pay $2.00 for the parking meter and walk up to the doors and WHAT, yup they were closed that day. We decided to go the outlet mall and here is what we found. The boys had a blast playing on the slide and the other toys there. I think they had more fun here then they would have had at the science museum.

Papa was reading a book to the boys called "Because a Little Bug went Ka-CHOO!" Papa makes this book so much fun to read. This was by far my most favorite book when I was a little girl.

The boys, me, Grandma and Grandma Gietz(a close family friend) went to the zoo one and day. It was a beautiful day and we had a good time looking at all the animals.

After we had been there for about a week, Devon and her family, Brad and Katie and Uncle Kerby and Mary Jo came down for my dads birthday. It was a fun surprise for my dad. Cade, Jake and Preston had such a good time playing together. Boys being boys! What is more fun then jumping on the bed.

Ice Festival!

The last weekend of January, we went up to McCall, ID with some really good friends of ours and went to the ice festival that they have there. This was our first year to go and we had a lot of fun. The kids were tired and crouchy (a couple of days later I found out that Jake had an ear infection, so that explained the crouchyness from him), but overall we had a lot of fun. We walked around and looked at the ice sculptures, went sledding and saw the parade. We had a wonderful day together as a family.

Happy Birthday Drew!

Happy Birthday to Drew yesterday, he turned 31. It was a great day. We started the day by decorating the house before he came downstairs in the morning and making him waffles for breakfast. While he was at work the boys and I made him a big cupcake cake. When Drew got home from work we went out to eat at Chili's. We then headed over to Cabella's for Drew to find something as we had gotten him a gift card there. We then came home and had cake.
The boys and I just want Drew to know how much we love him and appreciate all that he does for us. He is the love of my life and I am so grateful that I get to spend eternity with him. Happy Birthday Drew, we love you.

Aquarium

I am obviously catching up on my blogging as this post should have been done in January. While we were in Colorado awhile back, we went to the aquarium with Drew's parents. We all had a blast. We saw alot of fish, sharks, sea horses, turtles, climbed through some tunnels and even touched some sting rays.

Rodeo!

While we were in Colorado several weeks ago we got to go to a rodeo. The boys had a blast. There was so much to do. We got to walk around and see all the animals, feed some cows, play on a playground, ride trains and watch the rodeo. The rodeo was really a lot of fun. As Cade likes to say, “we got to see the cows and horses buckeded them off.”

We were just trying on hats, Jakes was a little to small.

If you can't tell Jake is really tired.

Fun at Grandma and Grandpa's in Colorado!

A couple of weeks ago we all went to Colorado to go see Drew's family. We had so much fun visiting Grandma and Grandpa Polson and the rest of the family. We played inside with their toys, but most of our time was spent outside. It was a little cold, but overall the weather was beautiful. Jake was sick for some of the time there which wasn't fun, but a couple of days into vacation he got better. We also went to the rodeo and Aquarium, those post will come later.

Did a little 4-wheeling

Drew's parents live in the country and Cade and Jake had so much fun being able to run around everywhere.

Grandma and Grandpa Polson have a dog named Tess. Cade and Jake never left her alone. They had fun throwing her toys to her to go fetch and chasing her around. I am sure by the end of the week Tess was ready for us to go so she could rest.

Cade and Jake had a wonderful time with there cousins while we were there. Grandma Polson has a table at her house with a picture of each of her grandchildren. Cade and Jake loved looking at them. Cade really started to understand the word cousin and what it meant. So instead of calling his cousins by their names, which he knows, he would just call them cousin.

I went downstairs to see what Cade was up too one night and he and Blake were playing dress up. Cade and Blake were talking and here is how there conversation went:

Blake: Hey Cade, I am dressed like a hippie.
Cade: Me too, I am a hippo.

I couldn't help but laugh. Cade has no idea what a hippie is, so in his mind hippie, hippo same thing.

One night we went to Drew's brothers house. They have three girls and just had a brand new baby boy named Sawyer. We had so much fun hanging out together.

We had a wonderful New Year. It was just us and we kept it low key. We made some popcorn, rootbeer floats and watched a movie. There is nothing better then spending time together as a family. We had a great 2008 year and are looking forward to making many memories in 2009.

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

Christmas Eve we had some families over to our house to celebrate. We had ate lots of food and then did a Christmas program. The kids dressed up and we all had a wonderful time talking about the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ.

After everyone left Christmas Eve the boys got to each open a present. They each got a pair of spiderman pj's and some spiderman slippers.

Christmas morning Cade woke up at about 5:50am and we went and woke up Jake. Cade was explaining to Jake that Santa came and that we needed to hurry up and go downstairs to see what he had brought them. Jake wasn't quite sure what to think with us waking him up so early, but once we got downstairs and he saw what Santa brought them he was really excited. Cade was bouncing off the walls. He understood the whole Santa thing this year and just loved it. Santa brought Cade and Jake a playhut, which they both love. They both got lots of fun toys from their grandparents and cousins, which we really appreciate. We had a great day.

All in all we had a wonderful Christmas and enjoyed playing inside with all our toys and outside in the snow. We are so grateful for our Savior, Jesus Christ and for his sacrifice for us. Merry Christmas!

Ho! Ho! Ho!

We took the boys to go see Santa at the mall. Cade was really excited about telling Santa what he wanted for Christmas, a playhut (Cade calls it a tent/tunnel thing). This is the first year Cade hasn't cried when seeing Santa. Jake we thought would cry this year, but he was just mezmerised(sp) by Santa. We have enjoyed this Christmas season so far and are looking forward to Christmas day.

Thanksgiving!

We had such a wonderful thanksgiving this year. We got to go to Wyoming to my parent’s cabin and it was a blast. We left our house Monday night at about 6:00pm and Cade fell asleep an hour into the drive and Jake fell asleep 2 1/2 hours into the drive but then they both slept the rest of the way there. We got there at about 11:30pm and I was able to give Jake some milk and he went right back to bed. Cade on the other hand thought he had a great nap in the car and it was time to play with Grandma and Papa. He stayed awake until about 1:30am and then finally went to sleep.

Tuesday we hung out and rode 4-wheelers around and waited for Brad, Katie and Jordyn to arrive. Thank you Brad, Katie and Jordyn for playing with my kids so much, they love you guys so much.

Wednesday my Uncle Kerby and my cousin Brienne and her family came out. It was so good to see them. Brienne's little boy Copper and Cade had so much fun playing with each other.

Thursday we had a wonderful Thanksgiving, thanks to my mom and making the turkey, potatoes, corn, gravy, stuffing, jello salad, pies and much more. Everything was wonderful. We enjoyed hanging out with the whole family.

I am so grateful for this season to help us all remember the things that we are and should be thankful for. I am so grateful for my family. For my wonderful husband and father that works so hard to support me and the kids and always being there for us. I am also grateful for my kids. They bring so much joy to my life. I am grateful for my parents, sisters, brother and their families. I am blessed to be a part of Drew's wonderful family. I am grateful for all the blessings I have been given in my life.

Cade is getting to be such a big boy. He is now three and for our church he is in a class called moonbeams. It is the class before sunbeams, which he will be in starting January. The sunbeam class is for 3 year olds. He is loving moonbeams and loves going to primary with the big kids for singing time. He is doing really well learning the songs and he likes to practice them at home. Here he is singing I am a Child of God.

Halloween night was great. Cade dressed up as "Woody" and Jake was "Buzz Light Year" from the movie "Toy Story". Jake didn't get the whole trick or treating thing, but enjoyed the candy. Cade had a blast going from house to house trick or treating and filling his bucket full of candy. Drew even dressed up on Halloween as "Mr. Incredible" for work; he looked great, like a real super hero.

October Fun

Well this last month we had a wonderful time celebrating Halloween. We enjoyed going to a corn maze which had lots of fun activities for the boys to do. They had a big jumping pillow, a hayride to the pumpkin patch, train rides, corn to play in and slides. Cade had fun picking his own pumpkin that we brought home and painted. We carved the big one for family night and the kids had fun. Cade didn't like cleaning out the pumpkin; he thought that it was too dirty. Jake had fun watching and playing outside while Drew carved. I have a video of Cade cleaning out the pumpkin and not really enjoying it. It won't go through right now, so I will try again and post it later if I can get it to work.

Well I am finally getting my blog started. The reason that I am doing it, is first of all I am bad at taking pictures of my kids and documenting when things happen. Secondly, I want my kids to be able to have something to look back at and remember the wonderful memories we had as a family. Hopefully having this blog will help.
